(Music Video) Reflection 5th May - Attempt of filming
This is my reflection for my filming on the 5th of May 2019, i will be talking about what went well and what issues i had come across on this day, before i started filming i already had issues with my performers, one of my performers told me that she didn't want to do the music video due to her being camera shy, during that week i had informed my teachers about the situation and my best option was to try again and convince her to try her best in front of a camera. On the 5th of May i had tried and convinced her in doing the music video, and she was ok with it, however while i started to record she wasn't cooperating, at the time the song that i had chosen was 'Baddest' by Amelia Monet ft EO, this song had a female protagonist, which meant that my female actor had to be on camera the most, at this point i thought id given up and i was done for the day, however i thought that my day wasn't productive enough.
A couple hours later, i left my two actors and went to search for good locations to film at, rather than stressing over my actor being camera shy, i thought of high end locations and urban locations, while i was out i thought of Canary Wharf, i though this would be a really good place to film because of my theme and it would link really well, the theme was forest and fellowship, and i thought Canary Wharf has a lot of greenery and nice tall sky scrapers to set a nice atmosphere, so as i found one location i phoned my two actor and asked them if they thought that my location would work, and they said it was a perfect location as it fits my theme. Another challenge i had overcome was that i would have a lot of pedestrians while filming and i didn't want any pedestrians in my shots. So to overcome that was by choosing a day that wasn't busy and hoping for best.
Finally after i found the location i needed to arrange a filming schedule with my two actors, and create a storyboard for my music video, and plan out everything correct so everything runs smoothly.
Hopefully next week i can start to record again and finalise my location and song.
