Focus Group - Analysis



In my focus group we discussed my music video that I have edited, I only had 20 seconds of my music video done however I still got a good feedback to improve my work, the purpose of this focus group is to receive feedback and know what I need to improve on and what went well, from my feedback I was told that the editing is well done and not too complicated, however for improvement I need to change the colour of my clips, I will be doing this with colour correction, towards the end of the video I asked for help which I said 'would you suggest any locations I could film at?' I got feedback saying I should film near central London due to it having nice lights and a nice scenery.
The reason for doing colour correction is to make the video look less raw and more cinematic, the purpose of this is for it too look more professional.

Production Research/Treatment - Mise en scene

For my mise en scene, i will have props, clothing, makeup and locations, (interior and exterior), the props i would have on my music video would be very basic, these would be things like water bottles or any type of drink, this little extra prop has a massive effect to the music video as it makes it less boring and plain, i believe adding things like props to music videos make it unique and effective to the audience. For my clothing i want my two performers to specifically wear casual clothes, for example jeans and a t-shirt, however the t-shirts would be a plain t-shirt, i would want to have my performers wear a branded t-shirt but a little bit expensive, for example brands like Commes des Garcons, Moschino. Reason for this is to show the audience that this music video has been created professionally and 'money has been spent' to create it.
